YALLWEST Code of Conduct

YALLWEST has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for harassment of any kind which extends to online behavior our virtual festival. Unacceptable behaviors including but not limited to: stalking, intimidation, harassing or non-consensual photography or recording, sustained disruption of programs, offensive verbal or written comments in relation to, but not limited to: race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, age, body size, disability, appearance, religion, citizenship, pregnancy.

If a person engages in harassing behavior, YALLWEST Staff will take prompt action in any form they deem appropriate, including expulsion from the digital festival. Our policy applies to EVERYONE participating in virtual events. Exhibitors, Attendees, Authors, Speakers, Guests, Press, Staff, Volunteers, and Sponsors are all subject to our anti-harassment policy.

Anyone can report harassment. If someone’s behavior has made you uncomfortable, or if you witness the something happening to someone else, you should immediately contact YALLWEST Staff. You may report an incident by emailing to festival@yallwest.com. If necessary, we will contact local law enforcement.

YALLWEST's mission is to create a fun, safe, and welcoming celebration of literature for young people. We want you not only to have an amazing time, but to experience it in an environment where you are safe and accepted.
