 FAQ

what’s yallwest? a day full of panels, signings, and more!

saturday (May 4) will have

panels (a bunch of authors talking about a specific topic and or performing shenanigans)

keynotes (a couple authors talking, these are ticketed)

signings (authors sign their books! you can bring your own books and/or buy them onsite! Signings may have limitations on number of books signed)

sponsor events (events put on by our wonderful sponsors, these can include giveaways, additional author signings/appearances, and more!)

smackdown (authors performing shenanigans x100000000, end of the day wrap up, ticketed)

there will also be some preview events on friday, may 3

do you need a ticket to get into yallwest?

no! no registration or ticket to get into the festival itself, our panels, or our signings. you will only need a ticket if you choose to attend a keynote or the smackdown.

do i need to line up really really early for signings?

please do not. some authors lines will have wristbands which you can only line up for at certain times. this information will all be posted when the schedule goes live. please note, you will definitely be able to meet some of your favorite authors and get books signed, but we do not (yet) control the passing of time, and authors are humans. You may need to prioritize what you most want signed, as it is impossible for us to schedule so no signings overlap.

what about sponsor events?

some sponsor events may be limited in capacity and therefore may require either registration or a ticket/wristband you pick up from their booth. once the sponsor events are announced, it is usually a good idea to follow the sponsor of the event you’d like to attend on social media to know how best to attend (ex: sometimes they drop a code word on their social media and you have to tell them at the booth)
