J. D. Myall

J.D. Myall is a publishing and library professional and an adjunct packet exchange professor in Drexel University’s MFA program. She hosts the podcast Craft Chat Chronicles, where she speaks with authors and industry professionals about writing and publishing. Her work has appeared in Ms. Magazine, Writer’s Digest, and HuffPost.

Her debut novel, Heart’s Gambit (Wednesday Books, 2026), is a romantasy about two time-traveling Black families cursed to fight in a deadly magical duel and the star-crossed lovers who might break the cycle or break each other.
